The kitchen occupies only one square meter when closed and can serve as a dining table at this state. Although when you start to open it you can find there an induction cooktop, a refrigerator, an oven and a storage space for different kitchen tools and tableware. Lets hope that some company will bring such brilliant concept in life. This modular kitchen is created by German designers Kristin Laass and Norman Ebelt. Its prototypes were recently presented on DMY International Design Festival 2010. The main idea behind this kitchen is to fit to very small spaces without losing anything that usual kitchen have.

Modern apartment interior design by West Chin Architect
This modern flat is designed for a New York couple with three kids under 10 years old. The couple works in media industry so their design expectations were very high. In the result they got a fabulous 3400-square-foot space for contemporary lifestyle which is safe for their kids. Almost every room feels light and airy thanks to neutral color palette and used materials. The three-bedroom flat possesses versatility to be transformed to suit evolving tastes as the children grew older. Furniture and surfaces around the flat are made of contemporary materials that are easy to clean and looks very modern. Thanks to built-in furniture there is also plenty of space to accomodate all family belongings.
