House with glass facade by B5 Architecten
That is also possible thanks to L-shaped house’s structure so it surrounds the tree. The large tree provides the site with shade and colors for the interior. The house is clad in rich wood and its interior is painted in many colors that all remind the colors of nature. This house is designed by Belgian architect Dieter Van Everboeck of B5 Architecten. The main feature of the site where it’s located is 300-year-old beech tree. Long expanses of glass substitute usual walls in order to view this tree from almost any room of the house.
Swedish interior design by UNIT Arkitektur AB
The house is made of simple materials and thanks to that is quite large even though the budget isn’t too big. The ground floor’s facades are clad with the most swedish of facades – the sawn spruce panelling. The upper floor, where public areas are, is clad with a flawless and proper facade material 5 mm translucent white acrylic plastic or PMMA. A large balcony with a pragmatic steel construction and cheap railing compensates for the lack of outdoor space in connection to the living room. Plastic House is located in a pure residential area just outside Göteborg, Sweden. It’s designed UNIT Arkitektur AB on the place of an old detached house. Even though the sea is near by, most people do not see it from the public spaces where they spend most of their time. That happend because of the nearby neighbor’s house that is obstructing the view and the Swedish building regulation which states that a kitchen, living room, bathroom and a bedroom must be accessible for a disabled person.
Desert home design by Marmol Radizner
It features five bedrooms and five bathrooms and designed to emphasize connection between a rugged desert and a suburban residential neighborhood. Large sliding glass walls open the living spaces and master bedroom to outdoors. Most of outdoor areas have movable vertical fins that offer flexible protection against sandstorms and intense heat. The house represents itself as a great desert vacation retreat from harsh winters. The Kaufmann House is located in Palm Springs, California. It originally was designed by Richard Neutra in 1946 and recently renovated by Marmol Radizner architecture practice. Many critics place the house amongst the most important houses of the 20th century in the United States and even was included in a list of all time top 10 houses in Los Angeles in December 2008.
Contemporary villa design by GROUP A
The house features two gardens in front and at the back that are linked to each other by a sloping path. That path also serves as a covered garage and provides an access to the basement floor. A comfortable porch and a 15 meter wide panorama window face the garden, and double up as a transition between the villa and the garden at the back of the house. Villa Bussum is designed by GROUP A and located in Bussum, a small town near Amsterdam. It’s surrounded by a lush and the abstract building volume feels comfortably embedded in the landscape. It looks modern and sculptural thanks to the choice of materials and the unusual shape.
